My first class for Social Workers is in the books!

Yesterday I completed my very first class for social workers through Capital Caring here in the VA/DC/MD area. Talk about nervous excitement. Reread the book, selected my outfit and then reviewed and revised my presentation and notes one more time before bedtime. I was ready. Arrived almost an hour early, reviewed presentation one more time. In-person audience was smaller then they anticipated, on-line was about 10. Two hours talking about our experiences helping our loved ones after their spouses after they passed away and listening to all the wonderful things that they do for the families they help. Just amazing! So many wonderful things to help in so many ways. After the class was concluded we talked about how I captured all of my experiences in my book. It always touches me to hear the stories people share after hearing my experiences. I'm hoping for other opportunities for additional classes with Capital Caring and other hospice organizations throughout the region. Lastly from yesterday, I should be posting a recorded clip of my class soon. Best wishes, CJ
